• Lee, roasting

  Been working in coffee shops for all of the 21st century, from the Berkshires to the Pacific NW, for Joe NYC and Joe Philly. Lee was adopted by Joe in 2005 as a teenager. Seemingly born into it, coffee has always been his mode. He lives upstate with his wife, a chef and baker, and their newborn daughter.

  Ed, Director of Roasting

  Ed grew up in MT, moved to Portland in 2002 and became accustomed to drinking great coffee at Stumptown. Ed became interested in the origins and stories of the the coffees that these cafes brewed and sold. Since moving to NYC in 2006, Ed has held positions including barista, trainer, coffee director, manager, retail consultant, tech, roaster, roaster trainer, production manager, and delivery driver. In 2012, Ed became a certified Q Grader. Outside of coffee, Ed plays bass guitar in his band, Erostratus.
