You will then receive a payment request from PayPal, and confirmation of your reservation when
payment is received.
Class registration closes 24 hours prior to class, and changes to reservations must also be made 24 hours in advance.
All classes begin at 6pm at 9 East 13th Street.
Class Descriptions
Friday Cuppings: introduction to Cupping, the professional method of evaluating coffees. Learn cupping procedure and vocabulary by exploring our single origin coffees.

Theme Cuppings: use the cupping method to explore a variety of themes in the industry, including: processing, roasting, growing conditions, acidity, and others. (A familiarity with cupping is helpful, but not required.)

Seed To Cup: explore coffee's transformation from bean to beverage through growing, processing,
roasting, and brewing.

History: follow coffee's journey from its earliest spread in the Ottoman Empire, through the post-WWII commodity coffee boom in the United States, to our current speciality coffee movement, with a focus on the rise of cafe cultures.

Manual Brewing: learn best practices for (home) brewing with three different brew methods. Compare processes and cup profiles.

Pour Over Workshop: hands-on practice with the Hario V60 pour over cone and in-depth exploration of the variables that affect extraction.

Espresso: introduction to espresso extraction theory, demonstration and practice of espresso
preparation technique.

Espresso 2: practice espresso technique. Control variables and adjust grind to pull a better shot.
