Joe Roasted Papua New Guinea
High on the Eastern Highlands of Papua New Guinea, the Tairora Tribe produces coffee on small plots from 2-25 hectares in size. After the ripe cherries are harvested, they are washed and dried in the sun at an increasingly well-known coffee estate called Baroida. This partnership between the Tairora Tribe and the Baroida Estate has allowed these highland smallholders to showcase their meticulous growing and harvesting practices while utilizing the infrastructure and top-notch equipment to maintain quality and perfectly prepare the coffee for export. This coffee was grown at 1600-2000 meters above sea level. The varietals Typica, Arusha, Bourbon and Caturra make up this lot. |
