Hyunji Kim
Originally From Dallas, Texas, Hyunji moved to NYC in 2010 on a whim and a whiff of coffee. She got interested in coffee because of its social aspects, but fell in love with the tastes and nuances of the brew at a Joe and decided she needed to work there. Hyunji paid her dues in the fires of Grand Central Joe, working her way up from barback to barista to full-fledged barista in record time!
This Fall she begins a masters program in computer, internet and network security; her dream is be an ethical hacker.
Hyunji has a rare ability to see the beauty in everything, especially in your latte! She loves hiking, jogging and checking out the coffee competition at other local shops! You will find her making great coffee at Joe Grand Central. If hear the Amelie soundtrack playing, Hyunji's probably in the house!
