Dan Bindschedler
Dan is a cellist and a freelance writer. He plays in a band; indie-rock stuff, and has a solo album out, kind of ambient/ experimental, Steve Reich meets Arthur russell.
He also writes freelance music reviews, travel, culture, opinion pieces, fiction, and poetry.
Dan's point of entry to coffee has always been his Dad, who is from Switzerland. The Swiss are mainly espresso drinkers (and ristrettos). Sitting outdoors in a cafe, slamming shots of espresso back to back and shooting the $@* is pretty much the kind of culture that Dan associates with coffee. He grew up with a Moca pot in the house, which he still uses, but is excited to save up for his own espresso machine. His favorite drink, otherwise, is a Cortado.
